Discussion of a master's thesis in the College of Computer Science and Mathematics - Department of Statistics and Informatics entitled (Employment of the fuzzy method to predict transformation function models and state space models with application)
A master’s thesis was discussed in the College of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Mosul on Thursday 5-12-2022, the use of the fuzzy method to predict transformation function models and state-space models with application by the student Fahd Samer Sobhi Muhammad and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Hiam Abdul Majeed Hayawi

The most important objectives of the theory or what is known as the method or fuzzy logic is a way to find and formulate models to solve very complex and ambiguous problems that cannot be analyzed using known and pure mathematical methods, as fuzzy logic performs estimation and guesswork without relying on a mathematical or statistical model that shows the relationship between variables With each other, the data analyst can train and teach these systems and make the appropriate decision regarding the phenomenon under study.
This thesis deals with the problem of building stochastic dynamic system models represented by Transfer Function Models and State Space Models.

The application process was carried out on data represented by the temperatures of drinking water before and after the filtration process, after treatment, and then compared the results using some statistical and engineering criteria. It was found that the state space models give better predictive values than they are in the transformation function models, and this represents the goal of the message. .

The discussion committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Thanoun Younis Thanoun, with the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Muthanna Sobhi Suleiman and Assistant Professor Dr. Osama Bashir Hannoun, under the supervision and membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Hiam Abdel Majid Hayawi.
