University of Mosul : Discussion of master thesis entitled ( Conjugate convection heat transfer in a porous cavity enclosed by three hot solid walls)
A Master thesis was discussed in Department of Mechanical Engineering / College of Engineering / University of Mosul entitled (Conjugate convection heat transfer in a porous cavity enclosed by three hot solid walls) for the student ( Noor Hisham Ali ) on Thursday (27/8/2020) Electronically through (Google Meet ) program.
The thesis included a study of the walls effect surrounding a porous cavity on three sides on the heat transfer process in it. The effect of the walls thickness, the thermal conductivity ratio of the walls, the porous medium, the dimension ratio of the shape, and Raleigh number were taken into consideration in this study.
The study found that the number of Nselt and the rate of heat transfer increase with the increase of both the ratio of thermal conductivity and Raleigh number , and decrease with increase of the proportion of the walls thickness and the dimension ratio of the studied shape.
It recommended conducting a future practical study and comparing it to the theoretical study.

Then the discussion committee read the decision which included acceptance the thesis and award the student a master degree.
