The Remote Sensing Center holds its nineteenth symposium in cooperation with the Environmental Research Center.
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Dr. Alaa Nabil Hamdoun, Director of the Remote Sensitization Center, and Dr. Saba Khair Al-Din Al-Ta’i, Director of the Environmental Research Center, and under the slogan “A clean environment and a sustainable situation”, the Remote Sensing Center, in cooperation with the Environmental Research Center, held the 19th scientific symposium titled "The Importance of Modern Technologies in Monitoring Gaseous Emissions" on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 in the Scientific and Literary Forum Hall / University of Mosul.
The symposium commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a speech by the Director of the Remote Sensing Center, then a speech by the Director of the Environmental Research Center, delivered on her behalf by Dr. Abdul Sattar Abdul Qadir Ali. After that, the symposium was divided into two sessions. The first involved gaseous emissions in addition to other environmental issues. The second session included four lectures on environmentally important topics such as microbial pollution, greenhouse gases and a variety of other topics.
Two staff members from the Environmental Research Center participated in this symposium, where Assistant Professor Abdel Mohsen Saadallah Shehab participated in the research tagged "Global Warming and Climate Change", and Dr. Mai Abdel Hafez Abdel Qader participated in her research, "A local study on microbial pollution of the air during dust storms in the city of Mosul."
It is noteworthy that the Nineveh Environment Directorate also participated in this symposium through Mr. Nashwan Shaker Mustafa, with his research entitled "The Governmental Roadmap for Reducing the Effects of Climate Change".
